From tomorrow (Tuesday 6th October) online learning can be found on Google Classroom. Some of the work has been scheduled for specific days which will show up at 8am that day. I have also set deadlines for some pieces of work too to encourage children to keep up-to-date with their work. You should have received an email today with your login details for this. Please let me know if you have any difficulty accessing this. Many thanks, Miss Alker.
Monday 5th October 2020
Spend 30 minutes on Maths Whizz and 20 minutes on TTRockstars.
Complete Monday’s Mini Maths (week 5)
Try to find out what it was like for a child during the Blitz – think about how a child might have felt. You’ll need to look at Anderson shelters to find out more about where the families went to keep safe. Make notes on these things as you will need them during the week.
Theme (to be completed over the course of this week):
Research the Blitz. Find out as much as you can and present your findings in any format you wish – this could be a PowerPoint presentation, a fact-file, an A3 poster, a news bulletin… the options are endless.
Welcome to Class 6
Our theme this term is WWII. We will be looking in detail at many aspects of the war including: the outbreak, the leaders and other key people, the Blitz, rationing and evacuation.
In science this half term, we will be studying Earth and space. This will include looking at our solar system and researching evidence of theories. We will also be making models to help deepen our understanding.
