This Half Term we are learning about ‘The Stone Age’. We have looked at animals that were around then and made fact-files and sketched them.
In Forest School, we considered what tools and weapons we would need to protect ourselves and kill animals to eat. We then used sticks and stones to make these (with a little bit of string if needed!)
We are reading about ‘Stone Age Boy’ in English, where we are making predictions and inferring character’s feelings. We have already acted out scenes from the book, turning these into speech, and are looking forward to finding out where he ends up…
Later in the term we are visiting Creswell Crags and will be excited to see where Stone Age people really lived, and going in the cave.
Our science topic this half term is ‘Magnets’ and we have already had fun learning about them through investigations
Here we are learning about prehistoric animals and producing our fact-files.
