Head Teacher’s Comment
As the sunshine is finally starting to appear I thought this would be a good time to go through some tips for coming to school in the warmer weather. It would be very useful if all children could come to school with a water bottle every day. Drinking plenty of water helps to keep the children hydrated and ready to learn. Summer uniform means the introduction of shorts as well as trousers, and summer dresses for the girls. Summer dresses should be blue and white check and cardigans need to be navy blue, not royal or pale blue. Sunhats are also a must along with ensuring that your child applies sun cream before coming to school. It is worth bearing in mind that a thin waterproof coat always comes in handy no matter how nice it may look at 8:30. We do live in Saddleworth! Let’s hope the sunshine is here to stay.
